Day 6 in Court:
• Sgt. Jacoba Boyd (MPD): Isabelle gave multiple conflicting stories before admitting to shooting Danielle and throwing baby Kennedy and his gun into the Mississippi River.
• GPS data and surveillance supported his movements, including disposing of Kennedy’s car seat in a Walmart dumpster.
• He took police to the river and pointed out the spot; only Kennedy’s hat was found, her body never recovered.
• Texts to Artesha Stewart: Shown in court, Isabelle professed love to her and dismissed feelings for Danielle, with some messages sent during the time of the murders.
• Evidence: Brandon’s clothing collected; a sock tested positive for Danielle’s blood. DNA analyst confirmed the blood belonged to Danielle Hoyle.
• Defense Cross: Challenged Boyd’s interrogation tactics, claiming coercion led to a false confession.
• Defense’s first witness, a psychology professor, testified in support of the false confession theory.
This case is presided over by Judge Carlyn L. Addison.
Brandon Isabelle allegedly admitted to luring Danielle, shooting her, and then throwing Kennedy into the river because he “didn’t want the child.” Prosecutors claim he even went shopping for gifts for another girlfriend afterward.
