Rambo: First Blood Part II is a 1985 American action blockbuster film starring Sylvester Stallone as John J. Rambo, the Vietnam veteran first introduced in First Blood. Now imprisoned for his actions in the previous film, Rambo is offered a chance at freedom: a covert mission back to Vietnam to investigate reports of American POWs in a remote jungle camp. When the recon mission goes awry and Rambo is abandoned by his superiors, he refuses to give up—fighting to rescue the prisoners and take revenge on their captors.
Co-written by Stallone and James Cameron, and directed by George P. Cosmatos, the film also stars Richard Crenna, reprising his role as Colonel Sam Trautman, alongside Charles Napier, Julia Nickson, and Steven Berkoff.
