Mayor Firhad Hakim heard the news on Wednesday. The recruitment process is set to begin after August 7. The Kolkata Municipality has decided to appoint about 5 vacancies on priority basis.
Appointment of drivers, laborers and supervisors will be made. The proposal regarding recruitment sent to the Kolkata Municipality has been passed in the Pura and Urban Development Department. It is to be noted that Mayor Firhad Hakim is the minister of that department. According to sources, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has directed Mayor Firhad Hakim to cleanse the city of Kolkata.
