Fate Stay Night UBW AMV Dreamland

Описание: This one was in many ways an experiment. To shorten the lead, I burnt myself out on Gundam projects. So I wanted to take a break and work on something else.

I've had the idea for this for a while, although I always knew it would require a different approach from my usual. Which in this case was perfect. As it allowed me to do several things: break up my flow, work in a style I don't usually use, and do something entirely unrelated to Gundam. The last was a big selling point. There was, however, another reason that enticed me. I'm rather elitist with AMVs. I put a lot of effort into my AMVs, which I don't always see reflected in other peoples' work. However, with this one I expected the outcome to be a cool title and relatively by the books video. And that presented an excellent chance to try and fight my elitism. It also gave me a chance to work without my usual self-imposed rules (such as avoiding scene reuse between videos).

In the end, this was not the by-the-numbers, cookie-cutter video I had planned on. A lot of thought went into this. In some ways more than my usual. And I'm immensely pleased with the result. The focus of the AMV did, however, end up a bit more focused on EMIYA than I had initially intended. I knew he and Shirou would be the focus from the beginning, and there was plenty of ways to include Rin and Saber, but I still wanted this to be more indicative of the series. But, I did dodge a bullet by not including Heaven's Feel, as UBW does focus extensively on Archer. So let's say it is indicative.

As for the experiment, I'd consider it a success. It was fun to find passion in something else again and I greatly enjoy Fate. So it was a treat to work with. I'd like to think I've developed a slightly more nuanced view on AMV making than I previously had, but only time will tell on that one. In the event you're interested, Gundam will probably take a backseat for a bit. My next/current project is essentially a very high effort joke. Anyway, thanks for reading my ramblings.
