Описание: Former Finance Minister and Old Mutual board chairman Trevor Manuel has called on engineers to be more involved in shaping South Africa’s infrastructure future. Speaking at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers Global Infrastructure Conference in Cape Town, Manuel said the sector must actively influence key decisions. With the government set to spend over a trillion rand on infrastructure in the next three years, he stressed the urgency of industry involvement in revamping roads, ports, rail, and energy systems.
