With the new school year underway, I wanted to do a video on the best credit cards for college students, but I haven't been to college in a long time. So in this video, I invited my friends and fellow credit card content creators Spencer Johnson and Matt Welter to chat with me about their experiences and insight as they have recently graduated college themselves.

We discuss a wide range of topics in this video, including whether to start with a debit card or just to go straight into credit cards, their recommendations for the best college credit cards, their post-graduate credit card setups, and their future credit card plans and goals for aspirational travel.

In terms of answering the question, what credit card should I get in college, both Spencer and Matt agree that the Chase Trifecta strategy is a very good starting point for college students, and in particular, starting with the Chase Freedom Flex or Chase Freedom Unlimited.
