Despite this still being Nobunaga's path, we step away from him for a time to play as Ieyasu while he was still serving under Yoshimoto. I play as Ieyasu and Hanzo here. I actually like what they did with Hanzo in this game, having him give commands like a general instead of just being all "shadow" all the time.
Ieyasu and Hanzo's movesets are both similar to the Normal type movesets from previous games. The Twin Swords is one of the most disappointing movesets however because every Charge from C5 and onward just uses the same attack rather than a unique Charge attack like before. And the S-String repeats itself a lot more than in previous games as well. Definitely feels like a downgrade.
Hanzo's Ninja Blade moveset does the same, but at least the Charge that gets repeated is a powerful move that makes shadow clones. However it's odd he has a new weapon considering there IS a Kusarigama moveset in the game that's used by another ninja.
Also I accidentally played this on Easy, since I was grinding Citadel Mode when last I played before this stage. The rewards for Normal and Easy are exactly the same so there's not actually any reason to play on Normal.
