STEPS OF PRE-COMMISSIONING PART-7 (FLUSHING: PIGGING OF PIPELINES)

Описание: This video describes the PIGGING method of pipelines done in pre-commissioning and is one of the flushing and Cleaning activities.

Pigging is done by using Pigs basically of three types:
1. Criss-cross type
2. Wired brushes type and
3. Foam type

Pigs removes the scalings and rusted materials from the inner surfaces of pipelines and is only done to remove loose materials or debris out of erected pipelines.

The pig is inserted from one end with an arrangement called pig launcher and get received at the other end at the pig receiver arrangement.
