I'm going to answer a question that doesn't come up enough and it should, it's because I finally realized that this is something that doesn't get through to a lot of people. And I'm kind of surprised. But I would be remiss if I didn't tell you about this. I'm amazed at the number of people who think I can prevent a case against me from proceeding, I can prevent a case from having a judgment against me if I just ignore the papers I was served with. So if somebody hands me a complaint, or a petition and a summons, and I just ignore them, and don't read them and don't respond within the time I'm given, the case can't go forward, so I can just keep it in limbo forever. Okay, that is not true. I mean, this is the way it really works. If you think well, I don't want to lose the game. So we just won't show up on the day of the game. And that way we can't play so we can't lose. Well, we all know that if you do that, that's called a forfeit and you automatically lose even though the game was not played, it counts as a loss for you. And for the other team that shows up. That's a win. So in court if you get served with papers, whether that be handed to you, or certified mailed to you, or career delivered, or however you get them, and you just think, well, they can't do anything, if I don't respond, that's called default. And if you're in default, then you can have Default Judgment entered against you. That means you've lost without ever firing a shot in the war, because you had an opportunity to participate. You had an opportunity to respond and defend yourself and you blew it off, you did not avail yourself of the opportunity. So they say, Well, if you're not going to participate, we're going to take that to mean you don't think there is anything to defend so you automatically lose, folks if you get served with legal papers, and you get a summons, read it and do what it says because if you don't, you will lose guaranteed.
