एक और CYCLONE के 26 मई तक भारत के पूर्वी तट से टकराने की आशंका है। भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग (IMD) ने सूचित किया है कि 22 मई के आसपास उत्तरी अंडमान सागर और उससे सटे पूर्व-मध्य बंगाल की खाड़ी के ऊपर एक कम दबाव का क्षेत्र बनने की संभावना है . इसके 24 मई तक तेज होकर चक्रवाती तूफान में बदलने की संभावना है।
मौसम विभाग ने कहा है कि तूफान के उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ने और 26 मई के आसपास ओडिशा-पश्चिम बंगाल तट के पास बंगाल की उत्तरी खाड़ी तक पहुंचने की संभावना है।
विभाग ने इस चक्रवात का नाम यास रखा है।
