The Enid Collett is a state of the art all weather life boat based in Shoreham by Sea Sussex England, She cost £3 million to build and another £4000 to house.
She has saved many lives already since her Launch in 2010 from Shoreham Harbour.
She has earned visits from Royalty and commoners alike as she is proudly exhibited to enthusiasts around the globe.
However, when questioned about the donor of such an asset to the Harbours RNLI, although extensive research was carried out, no one of learned anything more of the illusive Enid Marjory Collett, other than she was a farmers daughter who worked in the theatre world!
It was some years later that i discovered that i had the very information that people were seeking, hidden in the corner of my mind and on scraps of paper in a suitcase of my home.
i realised then that her story had to be told.
A famers daughter from Cambridgeshire, shocked the RNLI society to the core with the unbelievable fortune to fund The Tamer
