In this video, we share harrowing accounts from survivors who credit the lessons learned from the earlier disaster for saving their lives during this latest onslaught.
@WxChasing and I tracked the tornado as it formed on May 26, 2024, at dusk, and followed it as it his a small community near Dawson Springs, Kentucky. You'll see the first moments of survivors as we assist them escape the rubble of their home, and the frustration as I try to get them a safe place to wait out of the rain.
As recovery begins again, we uncover stories of narrow escapes and heartbreaking losses from near Dawson Springs and Barnsley, Kentucky.
