.VOM is the project of Rufus Parenti. He played this one solo, taking us on a journey of experimental sound, layered saxophones, and ambient electronic textures. I felt like I was floating through space, seeing short glimpses of shooting stars and supernovas passing by in my peripheral vision. ///

These videos are a part of an ongoing series highlighting independent/DIY artists performing live music, mostly in and around Chicago. My goal with this series is to document these performances, to help smaller artists find new ears, and to help people in our community (and abroad) find cool new bands. I hope this will make the Chicago "scene" a more connected, supportive, boundless, and long-lasting community.
