Prolog to Perfect Auroras - a Slow Northern Lights Movie by MiMaVe-Design-Photo

Описание: Fantastic Magical Northern Lights is what you get here. Auroras are something that I find one of the most beautiful things on earth. And trying to capture that beauty is very diffucult, you can not order them, tell them what to do etc. It is nothing to take only some stills instead of doing a several hours long shoot to get the whole northern lights movement, its phases etc. This movement, the slow parts, the explosions, the change is what northern lights is for me. And this is the difficult part, you shoot only manual, you must change settings, location, field of view etc. but not too much that destroys the timelapse of the auroras etc. Why are these the perfect Auroras then? Because I did have the right focal lenghts for just this aurora episode. I was in the right places or did move accordingly. The aurora was perfect in where I hoped it would be (years of practice) and I did get most of it without problems, of course there is always some over/under exposure, clipping etc. but that is what it is as the luminosity can change from nothing to a flood light in parts of a second. For single images this in not a problem you change. For timelapses like this it is the problem, but that is also the beauty and the joy in it... This was going to be a long and big video, but in the end I decided that it is better to do it in three parts. Starting with this short Prolog. The main part is coming in the future, that is also the longest and most dramatical and there will also be an epilog, but we'll get back to these due time. As this start is more slow and mellow, soft and dreamy I did music for it accordingly. Composed, performed, post etc. everything by me, as of course is the case for everything else as always. on the s5 I had the tokina 11-16mm which is aps-c, but 14mm plus you get full frame coverage. Check out a Northern Lights photo edit with this combo:

It does have some quirks, but I like the non perfect image it gives. Same goes for the Samyang Rokinon 24mm t1.5 (1.4) it has some quirks too, but i like the image... It was on the s5d.
