This is a drive from Norwich Connecticut to the former location of The Shaboo Inn in Mansfield Connecticut. The drive occurred on March 14, 2021. This was a drive I took many times over 40 years ago as friends and I would go to see performances of some of the worlds great artists live in concert at the Shaboo. Also included in the footage is a recitation of a list of some of the bands that performed at the Shaboo. Some bonus footage of Main Street in the city of Willimantic is included as well as a quick drive through Eastern Connecticut State College. That footage was included because many students who went to the Shaboo attended that college and many folks who lived in Willimantic used to go to shows at the Shaboo. This video was recorded on a GoPro Hero 8 Black attached to the front hood of my car. The audio was recored on a MixPre-3 ll and a Countryman E6 microphone. Final edit was done in Final Cut Pro X. *Note* At one point during the video I mention that Blondie performed at The Shaboo. That is apparently incorrect.
