#12 VFX - ROBOTIC DESIGN (+FULL TIMELAPSE) (Maya Hard Surfaces 3D Sub-D modeling)

Описание: This time I wanted to improve my 3D modeling skills (I will need them for my next project).

So I took the excellent "Mastering 3D Modeling in Maya" course available on Yiihuu.com and I was not disappointed at all (note: the course is also available on the instructor Mario Brajdich's website Elementza.com, the advantage being that the course contains an additional part on the Zbrush/Maya retopology process which is unfortunately not available on Yiihuu at the moment).

Mario Brajdich is an excellent tutor and I enjoyed the course immensely (before taking it, I had almost no experience in 3D modeling).

This video shows my full progress (well almost because I forgot to turn on my video capture card several times actually), which for the 3D model of the robot only is over 40 hours of modeling!
I had a lot of trouble at the beginning to familiarize myself with the marking menus of Maya and I took a lot of time to integrate all the keyboard shortcuts.
Once I got past this difficult stage I really enjoyed a lot modeling in Maya.
