Hey Fooders! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but truthfully a lot of us just don't have the time to eat it during a normal busy weekday morning. Spend 10 minutes on Sunday and you will have a super healthy breakfast ready to grab for every day of the week!
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Makes: 10 Servings
Ingredients:
3 1/3 C. Old Fashioned Oats (Not Instant or Quick!)
6 C. Almond Milk (Regular Milk is fine it just increases calories)
1/4 C. Chia Seeds
1/4 C. Honey
1/2 C. Peanut or Almond Butter
2 Sweet Apples Chopped Finely (Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp)
1 t. Ground Cinnamon
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl then distribute them into 10 clean mason jars. Refrigerate at least overnight but they stay good up to 1 week in the fridge.
These fiber and protein packed fridge oats will help keep you full until lunch to make sure you dont make an unhealthy decision or overeat when lunchtime does come. Not to mention the fact that oats and chia seeds can be found in the bulk section so each one of these servings only costs $.50. You cant find any breakfast out that costs anywhere near that especially this nutritious. Everybody likes saving money! The chia seeds are optional and they dont add any flavor, but do add thickness and they take on 10 times there weight so they will help you feel full longer with an added boost of protein!
