Does the ball position affect the shoulder alignment? A good way to reduce spin on the ball is to change the ball position -- the club will catch the ball earlier or later as it rotates through impact and therefore making it more open or closed when it strikes the ball. But by pushing the ball forward in the stance it can open the shoulders, and moving it back can close them. This can affect the club path and negate the benefits of moving the ball position to control the ball flight.
