On Sunday 1st November we held our annual Paediatric Remembrance Day at Royal Brompton Hospital. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we were sadly unable to invite families to attend in person so we put together a very special service and live streamed it from the courtyard area. This is a short clip of the day.
Messages and personal thoughts had been written on to paper leaves and were sent in by parents, siblings and grandparents. They were read out loud by the team and hung on to the memory tree. We also played especially chosen pieces of music and Consultant Cardiologist Dr Rigby reflected on the day and how we will always remember the babies, children and adults who have very sadly passed away.
It was a beautiful event that we were honoured to share with the hundreds of people who watched.
