In this video I talk about a specific water purification technique called distillation. This system was designed to purify water at its exact boiling temp. Anything boiling below or above 212 degrees F is not ideal to collect because it can be another harmfull chemical. To insure saftery you can discard the firs few mililiters of distillant (what comes out of the spout) per every gallon (this is just a guess and you dont really have to discard anything) Alcohol is done the same way but instead of collecting the chemical H2O (water) we want C2H6O (ethanol or ethyl alcohol). And it goes on for plant extracts or flavor extracts, all you need is the temp at which it boils and you can put that info in your preppers handbook (check out my channel to find that video (SHTF Ep. 3) if you dont know what I mean).
