Viking Mysteries in Churchyard

Описание: Between the mountains of the Lake District, the sea and a nuclear power station is the village of Gosforth. No common or garden village - it's home to an incredible "Christian" cross, which has stood there for over 1,000 years.

It's incredible because the carvings on it appear to be pagan - depicting Norse Sagas. Oh, and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ...

What is going on here? In this video, we take a look to it and consider what antiquarians have said in the past. We also look at some impressive Viking Hogback tombstones. Join us.
