Digital Audio is Numbers, For this reason I will call it a signal (A real discrete-time signal is defined as any time-ordered sequence of real numbers)
-Oscilloscopes show signals in real time. They can show various aspects depending on how you put the signal into the oscilloscope.
-A typical Oscilloscope shows real time waveforms
-Waveform displays are superior in almost all situations
-Look for update or sync controls vs. Free Running
-Spectrograms show the frequencies in a signal, through a math function called a Fourier transform.
There are various ways commonly used to display this, some only show amplitude and frequency, others also include Volume.
Common Uses
-Mixing (Masking, Tone Control, Custom Filters, ect…)
-Sound Design (Visual Feedback)
Scale
-We hear in log Base 2, so it makes sense to put the scale in Log Base 2, you often have the option to change this in many ways.
Vectorscopes are a kind of oscilloscope and shows a signals spacial Position, through Phase.
In phase signals are shown between 45 degree lines
Out of phase signals are shown in the area outside these lines.
Volume is shown by how far the lines reach the edge of the scope
issues when playing the song in mono (via a phone)

-Oscilloscope Music (briefly mention)
Uses
check phase coherence, if your song is mostly outside the lines then you will have one wide song with little in the middle!
