बिजनौर के नजीबाबाद थाना क्षेत्र से एक सनसनीखेज मामला सामने आया है।
बुधवार शाम करीब साढ़े सात बजे कृष्णा टॉकीज के पास लगी कपड़ों की सेल के दौरान उस वक्त हड़कंप मच गया, जब एक सिरफिरे युवक ने बाजार में खरीदारी कर रही युवती को चाकू के बल पर बंधक बना लिया।

आरोपी ने युवती की गर्दन पर चाकू रखकर एक लाख रुपये की मांग की और पैसे न देने पर जान से मारने की धमकी देने लगा। घटना के दौरान युवती बुरी तरह घबरा गई, जबकि उसकी सहेलियां रोती-बिलखती रहीं। शोर सुनकर मौके पर बड़ी संख्या में लोग इकट्ठा हो गए।

करीब 30 मिनट तक चले हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामे के बाद लोगों ने साहस दिखाते हुए आरोपी को बातों में उलझाया और मौके का फायदा उठाकर उसे दबोच लिया। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और आरोपी को हिरासत में लेकर थाने ले गई।

पुलिस के मुताबिक आरोपी की पहचान अजीत के रूप में हुई है, जो बाराबंकी जिले के सुरजनपुर गांव का रहने वाला बताया जा रहा है। युवती और उसके साथ मौजूद अन्य बच्चियों को मेडिकल जांच के लिए भेजा गया है। पुलिस आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाल रही है और आरोपी से पूछताछ जारी है।

इस घटना के बाद बाजार में कुछ देर तक अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बना रहा।

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Ajit, a resident of Surjanpur village in Barabanki district. The young woman and the other girls who were with her have been sent for medical examination. The police are examining the footage from nearby CCTV cameras and questioning the accused.
