Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw thanks the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for laying a strong foundation for Viksit Bharat through Budget 2026. The Budget places major emphasis on manufacturing, including electronics, semiconductors and IT services, along with policy simplification. Tax holidays for data centres are expected to boost global services, employment and entrepreneurship. The creator (orange) economy is set to generate 20 lakh new jobs. In infrastructure, the Budget announces 7 new high-speed rail corridors, a southern rail triangle (Chennai–Bengaluru–Hyderabad), and a new dedicated freight corridor to strengthen logistics and growth.
