This slider is opposite of what everyone thinks—a value of 1 is amazing coverage and 99 is horrible coverage! If the CPU defense is anticipating your WR’s route, it’s because you’re making their reaction time fast by moving it more to the left, or closer to 0.
These examples are on All-Madden, pass coverage is set to 99 so you can see how important reaction time is for staying with receivers!
So yes, the slider is “backwards” and we can all get on with our normal lives and stop wondering.
EDIT: the slider is normal, it's "high motor" that causes route anticipation, which Toomer has in this vid, and why it doesn't matter what reaction time is set to. With a reaction time of 99 players will int or swat the ball and be aware of it, at 1 the ball will usually just doink off their helmets.
