Here is a Clip of the Global Skratch Foundation awarding dj Raedawn with the DJ QBert Legendary Scholarship ($1000.00 USD) at Skratchcon 2000 for his pioneering work in the field of DJ and Turntablist music. This phenomenal conference took place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts located in San Fransisco on July 1st 2000 featuring DJ exhibitions and lectures by many of the great turntablists of the time.
In the Winter of 1999, dj Raedawn Phoenix invented the first known documented System of Notation for DJ music. He self published this book, calling it "The Fundamentals", and presented a physical copy to filmmaker John Carluccio
and industrial designer Ethan Imboden with whom he had heard were working on a similar albeit unreleased system. These 3 skratch enthusiats joined forces to create the system known as the "Turntablist Transcription Methodology 1.0"
and released the book on February 17, 2000 at Symphony space in New York. The Turntablist Transcription Methodology ,known as "TTM", has been featured in such media outlets as CNN, TIME, BLACKBOOK magazine, SCRATCH the Movie, CSI, XLR8R and many More.

During this conference, TTM was incorrectly referred to as being "Carluccio's System" when, in fact, the system was dj Raedawn's innovation. Carluccio and Imboden, who were both music illiterate, helped dj Raedawn develop and refine his previously published system. Ethan refined the TTM Staff with Raedawn while John handled the text
(using the vocab from the now defunct Asisphonics website), publicity, and serving as publisher of all the initial copies. Dj Raedawn wrote every single skratch diagram in TTM1.0 from the most simple at the beginning to the most complex. Carluccio and Imboden additionally helped in the formatting of Raedawn's works as well as refining symbols. Yet, as you can see in this clip, Carluccio thanks Raedawn for his contributions for merely the "complex" skratches thus taking the credit for everything else. It is for this reason that in 2012 dj Raedawn severed ties with Carluccio for telling the world for over a decade that he created the system with mere "assistance" from dj Raedawn. In TIME magazine, they didnt even mention dj Raedawn at all nor has Carluccio given him credit on the TTMethod.com site after numerous requests both public and private. In all actuallity, how could Carluccio have created a new music notation system if he wasnt music literate in the first place? Common sense tells us that One cannot create a notation that one cannot write. To this date, neither John nor Ethan have ever transcribed or taught TTM. In dj Raedawn's case, he has taught the TTM system for over 10 years in high schools & universities as well as transcribed the vast majority of written DJ & Turntablist compositions that currently exist. Raedawn's invention was a culmination of his classically trained backround, having played the violin since age 4, and his Trigonometry & 4th dimensional studies under the late
Steve Sigur at the Paideia School. Now that the actual facts have been revealed, no longer shall opportunists and historically "whitewashing" press entities be able to misinform the public about the Moorish American composer dj Raedawn Phoenix's invention of Skratch Notation for all forms of DJ Music.
