Fresh tension erupted in Kathmandu on Tuesday, as hundreds of youngsters took to the streets to protest against corruption, a day after a similar agitation against a ban on social media left 19 people dead.
Social media sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp and X came back into operation in Nepal on Monday night, hours after thousands of youths, including school students, under the banner of 'Gen Z', staged a massive protest in front of the Parliament and shouted anti-government slogans demanding immediate revocation of the ban.
