Description of how I installed a quick disconnect mount for the "cheap Ebay brushless gimbal" for a GoPro Hero camera on my Blade 350 QX quad copter. I bolted on a GoPro quick mount to a custom top plate for the gimbal that I printed on a Mendalmax 1.5 3D printer.
I wanted to install the brushless gimbal mount for the GoPro hero on my blade 350 QX in such a way that I could easily remove it whenever I wanted to. I ended up using the GoPro quick release buckle that I attached to a new top for the gimbal that I made using a 3D printer. I had saved the black plastic bottom of the GoPro package with the female portion of the buckle molded in to it. I trimmed it down and bolted it too the bottom of my 350 QX. This allows me to remove the gimbal in just a few seconds. If you want a top plate for your gimbal just shoot me a message.
Edit: I realized the GoPro shoe allows you to install the gimbal facing aft as well. This makes it much easier to shoot a video of say a moving vehicle just by flying the quad in front of you.
