Elections are being held in the West Midlands on Thursday 6 May 2021 to determine who will be the next Mayor of the West Midlands. We asked the candidates a series of questions to get a clearer understanding of their views.
We based the questions on data obtained from Bike Life, the UK and Ireland’s biggest assessment of cycling in urban areas. Information in this report comes from local cycling data, modelling and an independent survey of residents in the West Midlands in 2019.
In this video, we asked candidates the question: “What are your plans to prioritise and create equity in active travel policy and investment across the combined authority?”
