Yarrangobilly Caves tour review (Jersey Cave & Jillabenan Cave) 🏕 Camping at Long Plain Hut 2022

Our day began at Yarrangobilly Caves in Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. We started off the day with a tour through Jersey Caves which was incredible and we saw so many crystals, stalagmites and stalactites.

Then, after a 10 minute break, our tour of Jillabenan Cave began. This cave has crystals that are 2-3 MILLION years old! We got to hold one of the crystals that had broken off and then our guide turned off all the lights so we could experience pure darkness.

We then made our way to our campsite for the night at Long Plain Hut Campground. We set up camp before wandering through Long Plain Hut and of course, signing the visitor book.

Then we began a short hike to an off-trail hut called Millers Hut. It was a gorgeous historic hut which we believe is along the Australian Alps Walking Track.

We ended the day with pasta for dinner and a pretty sunset but got to bed early as the temperature dropped so quickly!
