In this important judgment, the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench examined whether a Constitutional Petition under Article 199 of the Constitution of Pakistan can be converted into a Review Petition when an effective alternate remedy exists under the Punjab Board of Revenue Act, 1957.
Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf held that courts possess inherent powers to convert proceedings in the interest of justice.
