I hid my $80 shampoo and conditioner from my roommate’s guest… and now he’s acting like I committed a crime. Last weekend, his friend used almost an entire bottle of my brand-new salon products without asking. I’m a teacher’s assistant — I can’t casually replace luxury haircare every time someone showers.
So when she came over again, I quietly moved my new bottles into my closet and left his cheap two-in-one on the shelf. Suddenly I’m “weird” and “overreacting.” Apparently protecting my own stuff is dramatic now.
Was I being petty… or is it basic respect not to use someone else’s expensive things without permission?
