Goal, to be free of pain -
Hi my name is Adam Fox, and I'm from Erie Colorado. Before Dr. Martin I I did think about my teeth pretty much constantly. I had just not taken care of my teeth as much as I wish I had, of course. And that created confidence issues and made the situation worse and worse and I was like, I know I need to fix this, I know I need to fix this, and so finally did it. So finally when I came in to Dr. Martin, he had a holistic solution for this. I want to be pain free, that's my main goal,
I don't want to be in pain anymore and I want to be able to smile and feel like I could open my mouth in front of other people. And then, also chew gum.

Anxiety lessened with Dr. Martin -
Like I couldn't have picked somebody better to go to that was firm about, you know these are the things you need to do better and this is the work that you need to do to get to where you want to be. But he was also very kind about it and that was important to me. I would rate my anxiety for dental treatment before with Dr. Martin at about an eight, and now I feel much, much better about coming to this. My anxiety is probably down to a three. It'll probably never be a zero, but yeah it's much, much lower than it used to be.

Sedation helped me be at ease -
My wife saw sedation dentistry advertised and that was right up my alley because I was just embarrassed, it was partially about the pain, but also about the shame. The way that I experience sedation, I have a memory of the very beginning of it when I lay down something goes under your tongue and somewhere 3 to 5 minutes later, I have no memory, I don't know what happened after that. It was kind of like going to sleep and waking back up later and the work was done. It was beautiful and it was low stress, you kind of just go to the dentist, and go to sleep, and then wake back up later. So another thing that's nice about this sedation dentistry here is that they don't charge for it. So that means that if I have anxiety about a particular procedure or something that is coming up, I can request that sedation and not worry about how that's going to impact my overall bill.

Implants brought freedom -
Some of the treatments that Dr. Martin has done, the most impactful is, by far the tooth extractions and implants, because those were causing jaw pain and obviously were going to be longer term problems. It's just excellent to have the implants there because I have confidence that they're going to be good for the rest of my life. The dental treatment has definitely improved my life in the sense that first of all, pain free right, that's a huge deal. I can eat with confidence, I can sleep without waking up, and stuff like that. Now I don't feel self-conscious to smile and laugh at jokes that people say. I feel much more myself whenever I'm with other people and having a good time.

One thing that was very important to me was the way that Dr. Martin treats the people that work with him. I had a negative experience in the past, with another dentist who did not treat his employees well and it made me very uncomfortable and not want to be there, not want to be in the room and not really trust the dentist. And so, one of the things about Dr Martin is kind of patient as he is with me, from what I can see, very kind and patient with the people that he works with, while also making sure that the right thing gets done. I think that his demeanor towards both me and towards his employees is excellent.

Comfortable process -
Overall, I'm ecstatic about the treatments that I've had. I actually don't think I've canceled a single appointment since I've been here, might have rescheduled or something but I show up when the appointment is, and that was a problem for me before because I was just so anxious. It's just been very excellent to come here and I really am very happy with my selection. What I would tell somebody that is nervous to call in about dentistry is, I've never been more comfortable with a dentist ever, my whole life. Dr. Martin's just very kind, all the people that work here are very kind, and tell you what you need to hear. But also don't make you feel like you're a bad person because you've made some mistakes. If that's what's with your blocker, like it was for me, then I would say that this is the best place you could choose for that.
