Russia claims its elite “Varyag” UAV unit has struck Kyiv’s Northern Bridge, alleging the crossing was being used to transport Ukrainian troops and military supplies. According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, the operation aimed to disrupt a key logistical route supporting Ukrainian forces.

The Northern Bridge, also known as the North Bridge, crosses the Dnipro River and connects parts of the Ukrainian capital. The reported strike comes as both sides continue targeting transport routes, military infrastructure and supply networks in the ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Kyiv residents of the threat of massive Russian strikes and urged Ukraine’s allies to provide adequate air-defence systems.
