“Hairan Hairan” is a love song sung in Mongolian, created and passed down within Mongol ethnic group in China.
“Gada Meilin” comes from the folk traditions of China’s Mongolian people, rearranged and reinterpreted by composer San Bao. It tells and celebrates the story of Gada Meilin — a legendary Mongolian hero from the 1930s who rose against the powerful and sacrificed his life to protect the herders’ land.

Wang Xi combines these two songs into a single performance, opening with Hairan Hairan sung in Mongolian. After the powerful low notes, he raises the melody by an octave, creating a sense of breakthrough and revelation. In his interpretation, Wang Xi fully showcases his wide vocal range — his lower register is deep and resonant, like the earth itself; his higher register, vast and ethereal like the sky, evokes the feeling of standing on an endless grassland.
The arrangement makes bold use of electronic synthesizers, looping motifs, and intentional key modulations, which not only increase the difficulty of performance but also bring refreshing innovation, giving ancient folk melodies a modern pop sensibility. The bamboo flute flows like water, while the Western flute resembles geese soaring away — vivid and poetic in imagery. Notably, even without traditional Mongolian instruments like the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), the arrangement still captures the essence of Mongolian music.

With its wide vocal range and high technical demands, this piece has proven to be a fitting opening number, whether for the first or second half of Wang Xi’s fourth concert tour.

《嘎达梅林》源于蒙古族民歌，由三宝老师整理创作，讲述并歌颂了上个世纪三十年代蒙古族传奇英雄嘎达梅林反抗权贵，为保卫牧民土地牺牲的故事。
王晰将这两首歌曲mix在一起，以蒙语演唱的“海然海然”作为开头部分，在震撼的低音之后再升八度演唱，营造出一种拨云见日的氛围。他在演绎处理这首作品时充分运用了自己宽阔的音区，低音区深沉且充满感情，如同大地一样；高音区辽阔悠远像天空一样，让人似乎身处广阔的草原上。
编曲上大量使用电子合成器，loop动机，并且离调，增加演唱难度之外显得非常新颖，让古老的民歌更加符合现在流行音乐的发展和审美。伴奏中的竹笛像是流水，长笛又像大雁远走高飞，非常有画面感。而且编曲上没有使用马头琴等民族乐器，依然体现出蒙古族音乐的特点。
这首作品音域宽广，演唱难度高，在四巡中，不管是作为上半场的开场曲，还是下半场的开场曲，都能十分称职的。
