In this story, YouTuber Melanie Murphy shares her journey toward realizing, and then being okay with the fact that she is bi. It wasn't easy understanding what it meant to be bisexual because of personal feelings, how other people think, correctly or incorrectly, the words she learned about how people are, prejudices and more.

Her very first crush as on a female teacher. She had many crushed on boys after that as well. As a young girl, she dreamed about relationships with famous actors and actress and male and female book characters, boys and girls. Melanie felt natural creating play relationships between girl and girl and girl and boy dolls.

In her teen years, when discussion with her female friends about other girls revolved around their beauty being admired, Melanie felt more. And on specific an occasions she really desired to kiss a girl in the same way that she was intimate with her then boyfriend. When she and her boyfriend broke up for a while, she fulfilled her feelings and followed through on kissing another girl at a party. That kiss was a very important point in her life because kissing a girl for the first time felt natural and right to her.

Then the social implications of her feelings became a challenge and reality to her. The word Bisexuality or Bi, were not labels often used in everyday conversation. In fact many people thought that two girls making our was to tease and entertain the guys and gauge their interest. That was a very negative connotation. And eventually the negative connotation followed Melanie around which forced Melanie to repress her feelings and hide who she realized she really was and how she felt.

Was she just a lesbian in denial? Could she really like boys and girls equally and at the same time? It caused confusion about her sexual identity. For a few years she lived this way, unhappy. When she was in college university, she found herself attached to many beautiful, strong young women.

but once she accepted who she is and how she feels, her life got better and brighter.
