Cherry MX Blossom (Stock & Modded) Sound Test | F1-8X V2

Описание: One of Cherry’s newest MX switch releases and their lightest switch to date. It’s featherlight, perfect for anyone who prefers speed and comfort. It has a 3.8mm full travel though the slightly shorter travel isn’t really noticeable in use. Since it’s part of the MX2A lineup, it comes factory lubed. We all know Cherry’s factory lube isn’t exactly best in class. The top housing also isn’t compatible with aftermarket LEDs which is a bit of a letdown. The springs may be featherlight, but there’s still that signature crunchy Cherry sound. Like most Cherry switches, I wouldn’t run these stock long-term aside from the video and comparisons of course. I could probably skip a full relube, but I’d definitely film and spring swap them. With the modded batch, the switch sounds much cleaner and more consistent. Stock, the spacebar feels overpowering while the alphas come across a bit muted. In terms of feel, you can expect that signature Cherry scratch that other manufacturers just can’t quite replicate. Sound-wise, it’s not as loud as mx blacks and I’d say it’s pretty comparable to nixies.

So the big question... is it worth picking up?

Yes, if you like the unique colorway, prefer lighter springs, don’t really enjoy modding, and aren’t too bothered by minor quirks in sound.

No, if you’re already happy with mx blacks/nixies. They’re still the better option overall especially if you grab the unlubed version and mod them yourself.
