CHARIOT/CHEERIO from "Room Service"

The American version of the Marx Brothers "Room Service" uses the gospel song "Sweet Low Sweet Chariot" in two scenes near the end of the film...however in the UK, a similar song, "One Last Sweet Cheerio" was carefully substituted on the soundtrack (it's the same picture)...for reasons that we don't know for sure.
Here is the finale, first with "Chariot" and then with "Cheerio". Note how the Marxes voices appear on both songs and for the most part, the mouth movements sync up to "Cheerio"...plus Groucho's ad-libs are at the exact same moment. A real mystery.
