Applegate Diamonds Rock Hounding Adventure (Quartz)

Today's video is a rockhounding trip to Applegate Lake in southern Oregon where we will look for "Applegate Diamonds". These are not actual diamonds but a quartz rock often with hematite that I make jewelry with. The rocks look frosty on the outside but dont let that fool you. I have cut and polished a few of these. Some came out gem quality with no cracks and clear as a diamond.

This is a very rough first attempt at making adventure videos using the new gopro hero 9, free video editing software that came with windows 10 and youtube creator studio . In the future, I will make more interesting videos featuring more rockhounding, mushroom picking, survival bushcraft, wildcraft, camp cooking and local edible plants.
