The incident occurred at Mangalore village in Babaleshwar taluk when the light aircraft, flying from Kalaburagi to Belagavi, attempted an emergency landing. The plane crashed into an agricultural field, leaving both occupants seriously injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital and are undergoing treatment. Officials confirmed there were no fatalities. Police from Babaleshwar reached the spot soon after the crash. The aircraft has been identified as a Cessna 172, registered as Tango Charlie. Authorities have launched an investigation into the exact cause.
