We continue our Italian summer adventure in Avezzano! After enjoying the Street Food Fayre and Miss Marsica beauty contest in the main piazza (see my previous video), we wandered just around the corner and stumbled across the talented Complesso Bandistico Città di Magliano dei Marsi youth orchestra performing a free open-air concert! Despite the evening chill (following a sweltering 30-degree day) thousands of locals and families filled the streets to enjoy a wonderful mix of contemporary music and beautiful operatic-style performances. The featured singers were absolutely outstanding. This spontaneous community celebration is what Italian summer nights are all about—fantastic music, warm community spirit, and unforgettable moments shared with locals.
