How to Present SD-JWT VC Via OID4VP with walt.id wallet

Описание: In this step-by-step demo, you’ll see how to present an SD-JWT VC from the walt.id wallet to a verifier using OID4VP. You’ll learn how the wallet API, verifier API, and selective disclosure work together in a real end-to-end flow.

We start in the walt.id web wallet and wallet API, where an SD-JWT VC identity credential with a selectively disclosable given_name is already stored. From there, we use the open-source verifier API to create an authorization request based on a presentation definition, pass it to the wallet (via URL or QR code), and let the wallet backend find matching credentials. You’ll see how user consent is handled, how selectively disclosable attributes are chosen, and how the final presentation is built and sent via OID4VP.

On the wallet backend, we walk through resolving the presentation request, selecting the correct DID, and providing the credential ID plus the corresponding disclosures returned from the “match credentials” endpoint. Finally, you’ll see how the verifier checks the state, inspects the received credential, decodes the SD-JWT disclosure, and confirms that the given_name was successfully shared.
