What is Conversion Disorder?

Описание: This video describes Conversion Disorder. Conversion Disorder is characterized by incompatibility between symptoms and medical diagnosing. No medical reason can be found for the symptoms. The symptoms could be weakness, paralysis, balance, tremors, difficulty walking, numbness, trouble with vision, difficulty hearing, and speaking difficulties. The symptoms with Conversion Disorder are real and the disorder is distinct from Factitious Disorder or Malingering. Theories for the cause of Conversion Disorder include unconscious drives, behavioral shaping, and the symptoms are a way of communication emotions. Much of the time, just finding out that there is nothing medically wrong will result in a resolution of the symptoms. Mental health treatments, like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), are also used to treat Conversion Disorder.
