My uncle passed away around 2022. My family found a guitar in his house, not just any guitar, but a Martin 00-18 from 1933. Nobody knew he had it or if he knew how to play it. As a rare member of my family who plays and collects guitars (a bit of a problem...), I was the fortunate one to inherit it around 2022.
I hadn't seen my uncle in years. I didn't know him all that well, and only got to see him every few years. Always appreciated his laid back attitude and appreciation for photography. I was fortunate to visit him around 2001 and saw how meticulously he cared for things in his life, including his Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme from the 70s (he kept that thing in mint condition!).
It took a while, but this song recently came together to honor him. Thanks Uncle Tom! The Martin is in good hands
