Tfue has finally been unbanned, but not for the reasons you might think.
Was it macros? Or possibly aimbot? Nobody knows for sure, but it appears he used third-party software to alter game visuals, something that was even shown live on stream. This allowed viewers and followers to use the same software to bypass lighting limitations and complete night raids in what was effectively full daylight.
Things took another turn last night when Tfue claimed the ban was due to using a foot pedal. If that is true, it strongly suggests macros were bound to a hotkey, because Easy Anti-Cheat does not ban players simply for plugging in a foot pedal unless macros are detected.
We will be looking into this further today, but one thing is certain. Top streamers seem to have the developers wrapped around their fingers. The studio appears to have been pressured into reversing the ban.
Serious questions now need to be asked about whether these streamers are receiving special protection from the game studio.
