Today I'm going to be sharing a special recipe: kalbi aka Korean-style BBQ short ribs. The marinade for today's Korean barbecue is a homemade recipe adapated from an Instagram post from a top food influencer, the Chicago Food Girl ( / chicagofoodgirl )
Marinade for two pounds of short ribs:
3/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 whole head of minced garlic
2 tablespoons of grated ginger
1/2 of a grated Asian pear (or substitute whole regular pear)
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
