A shocking case of alleged sexual harassment has surfaced from Balasore district, Odisha. A woman employee has accused a senior Project Manager of the Odisha Police Housing & Welfare Corporation (OPHWC) of prolonged sexual harassment and mental torture.

According to the complaint, the accused official allegedly sent obscene messages and videos, harassed her through WhatsApp, and later called her into his chamber under the pretext of work, where he allegedly misbehaved forcibly. The victim claims she was mentally tortured and threatened when she protested.

Despite submitting message proofs and call records at the OPHWC headquarters in Bhubaneswar, no concrete action was taken. Facing continuous pressure and lack of departmental support, the woman was ultimately forced to resign from her job. She has now written to the local Member of Parliament seeking justice.
