An Interview with His Beatitude Mar Meelis Zaia, the Founder of Nisibis Assyrian Theological College

Описание: His Beatitude shares with us insights into the ancient school of Nisibis and the crucial role it played in the dissemination of Christianity across Asia, as well as in the translation of Western and Eastern Christian resources into Syriac. He, then, refers to His thinking in terms of the mission of Nisibis Assyrian Theological College for the benefit of the Assyrian community in Australia and abroad, and as a hub for all who are interested in learning about the Church of the East. Indeed, His Beatitude envisages the College as a place of learning whose graduates, grounded in faith and aware of contemporary realities, will contribute to the preservation of the Assyrian theological and spiritual tradition for the centuries to come, serving as communicators of sound information regarding the Church of the East towards the broader community. At the end, His Beatitude invites the new Principal and Dean of the College to introduce the website, the Faculty, and various courses of study.
