Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu together with Deputy Minister David Mahlobo visited the Vaal Dam and the Vaal Barrage operated by Rand Water and surrounding areas earlier today. The visit was to assess the damage caused by the recent floods in the area. Twelve sluice gates were opened last month. Communities along the Vaal Dam Banks had to be evacuated as the area was flooded. David Mahlobo, Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation.
