Yes, customers also get rated! Why be a 5 star passenger? Your driver is more likely to pick you up! I have ignored ride requests from people who are 4 stars or below.
Keep in mind that I love to reward my customers with ride credits so they can give free rides away to their friends, and I usually keep water for my passengers (pax) but sometimes I have extra stuff for my best passengers. In tourism, "pax" is an abbreviation for passengers.
MY NOTES
1) Set the pin (or address) to exactly where you need the pick up... not a block or more away! (some ppl bump the screen just before requesting the ride). If we can't find you, our minimum protocol is to arrive at the location, wait 3 minutes for you, and then cancel the ride because we can't locate the passenger (this results in a $5 fee to the requesting customer). So if your ride is for a friend, make sure we know at least their first name and they know exactly where to be waiting. Better to call than text us this information, because we're usually rolling to the location and can't dig through our text messages. To call us when requesting a ride for a friend, use the CONTACT DRIVER button, after the request has been made and the driver is en route.
2 A) NEVER eat or bring food or drinks in car without asking first. NEVER bring open alcohol containers. Properly bagged groceries are usually not a problem. Don't start eating in the car without asking. Damages from spills (even damage caused by water) can result in an ADDITIONAL CHARGE to the customer. Currently, damages are on a case by case basis. The company will usually be on the driver's side, because the driver shows photographic proof.
2 B) VOMITING in the vehicle usually costs around $250 to the customer, costs the driver one day of lost work because of the cleaning involved. This is the BIG ONE. Just ask to pull over and find some bushes or a gutter.
3) ANIMALS - The same goes for animals (even if you have a seeing eye dog). A mess left by any pet can be a cause for additional billing against the customer. By the way, we must allow the dog if it's for a blind person, but don't lie about it.
4) TRASH - Don't leave trash or bring trashy friends. You become like the people you hang around with, so pick your passengers carefully. NEVER ask a driver or bribe a driver to have more passengers than is legally allowed. This can get you banned permanently. The insurance coverage on you and your friends is also void when you try to pack more than a "full house."
5) NOISE - Don't argue with your friends (or driver) during the ride. Don't turn up our stereo so loud that it becomes a distraction to the driver (keep this is mind if we let you use an aux cable for your music). ♫
6) SMELLS - If you're coming from the gym, you should towel off before riding! Avoid farting in our cars (this has happened to me more than once). If you do fart, please just roll down the window -- I don't care if you announce it, in fact, I'd rather you own up to it than pretend it didn't happen at all.
7) Don't put shoes or dirty feet on upholstery (possible cleaning fee). Always wear the seat belt, even if stretching your legs in the backseat. Cops will give a warning or write a ticket. Yes, I've seen this happen.
8) PDA's - avoid public displays of affection beyond hand-holding. If you're making out with someone in the backseat, we will either be grossed out, or jealous!
LOL - I look like I'm about to puke myself when I'm taking about barfing customers at 3:50, however, I was just hiccuping and trying to swallow.
